I am tired of looking around and seeing preschool activity sites that don’t explain the purpose of the activity. So many people are struggling with it, and there just hasn’t been a solid resource created to help them appropriately plan lessons for their young children. 

So I decided to build it. Let me explain the what’s, why’s, and how’s right now.

MomCanPlan.com Was Designed for Stay at Home Moms

You may or may not know that I used to be a teacher. I am now a mother to 3 amazing children (everyone thinks their children are amazing, and rightfully so!) My thought was that I was going to be an amazing mother because I was a teacher first. While my background helped me in some respects, my skills did not always translate. You see, being in a classroom is a controlled environment in the sense that you have an assistant, a little planning time, and a clean up crew in the evening. When you are at home you are the “Chaos Coordinator” (thanks Becca Hadley at www.hadleydesigns.com), accountant, nurse, custodian, counselor etc. etc. etc. No wonder I went through part of my motherhood feeling unfulfilled. My dear husband helped me to acknowledge all of the roles that I was taking on. Many of us moms want to do amazing activities with our children, and be our child’s first teacher. However, we may feel that we are getting nowhere with these activities because we don’t know the goal, or we don’t have the plan. This is where I come in. You can plan, I can help!
